Trying to ID a mystery AR upper. Only markings on the barrel is on the top, forward of the front sight. The markings are as typed below.
5.56 NATO 1-9
No other markings are to be found, I've used a flashlight and magnifying glass, with no luck
As for the upper reciever there is Harvey Anchor forge mark, but again I am finding no other markings on it either.
The finish on both of them are nice, clean and even. Not splotchy, or thin then heavy in areas.
This is an A2 style upper (Fixed sight rail aka carry handle) with a 20 inch barrel.

Re: AR15 Upper ID
There's just not enough information there to correctly identify it.

Re: AR15 Upper ID
True, I first thought the barrel was an Olympic barrel, but their old ones were just marked 5.56. Thought maybe DPMS but I am finding they are/were marked 5.56 Nato 1/9 versus 5.56 NATO 1-9. Bushmaster puts a code on theirs. So I am lost as of right now and looking for ideals.RazorBurn wrote:There's just not enough information there to correctly identify it.

Re: AR15 Upper ID
There were a ton of barrel manufacturers that popped up out of nowhere over the past few years, and many disappeared just as quickly. On the receivers, a lot of sellers wholesaled them, so they never went through any of the manufacturers who put their own marks on them. Most of your bigger companies like DPMS, Anderson and the like buy their receivers from just a few makers and then put their logos on them is all the work they actually do to them.
