Noreen AR Lower...

Post by Rongo »

been thinking about getting an AR lower & a kit to do a build in the near future. Everything is cheap & plentiful so now would be perfect to at least stock up on parts.

AIM has a Billet receiver from Noreen Firearms? Never heard of them... Price is cheap at $38; Was considering taking the plunge.

Thoughts??

Looks OK; pretty basic, but 6160 & Type III anodizing is industry basic standard for AR lowers (and uppers). Let me know if you need any help with it....I have a little experience with this type of rifle....

I'd prefer the Anderson, it's 7075-T6, but I don't know which anodizing type.

I've put together about 10 using Anderson's, never saw any difference between theirs or anyone elses. I work with 6061 every day and personally I'd go with the stronger 7075.

You can get an Anderson 7075-T6 for basically the same money, so all I can ask is why in the Sam Hill would you look at the Noreen?! :beek: :vconfused:

There's no way in hell would I pay basically the same amount of money for a substandard product!

I saw they had a special on the Noreen, wanted some input on what you all thought. Got my answer; And I agree. Thank You.

I'll get an Anderson, $39.95 + $14.99 shipping + $10 for local transfer. I have a local gunshow coming up in a few weeks... I'll wait to see what is available there first.

Thanks guys.

I've built 2 Noreen lowers so far with tactical superiority brand parts kits. Great trigger pull and fit up to any of my uppers. Visit their website sometime. They specialize in long range rifles. Good reading!
