The Lahti L-35 has been one of my dream firearms. I almost settled for a commercial model. Then a couple of forum members put me in touch with a seller of a Military Model Original and Matching with SA Stamp. Pistol is a 3rd Variation and would have likely been used in the Continuation War during the WWII timeframe. When he told me the price I knew I had to jump on it. Here are some pics. Import Mark couldn't be more discrete.
To add to my good fortune my friend in Finland sent me a Friitala Nahka Holster for my new Lahti.
That is a really nice looking L35. If you have fired it I would be curious to hear about the experience but I know many folks wouldn't want to fire it. I have held one, probably the closest I will get for a while, and the weight and balance surprised me even though I had read they were heavy but balanced. Enjoy that one!
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

It will get fired as soon as I get the time. I will report back when I do. It is heavy but feels well balanced. Definitely not for those with small hands.
Very nice the way the import mark was done. I wish more importers would take the time and effort to hide those "required" markings as opposed to just stamping them where ever.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

I like that pistol and really want one. I was surprised that it is bigger than I imagined in person. I pictured them as smaller than they are. Great addition to the collection.
Thank you all. The import mark was done by Simpson's and is great compared to Century.
Here is the commercial one I almost bought. Century even added their own VV to the serial and stamped an extra serial on the pistol. Not sure why. Was still a nice pistol but the extra cost for the military model with discrete import mark was worth it to me.
