Hard ammo to find.. 41 Swiss

Post by Greasemonkey »

I made it to my first gunshow in a few years.. I hit pay dirt. 3 complete boxes of collectible .41 Swiss ammo, one of which is a complete box of .41 Swiss shot ammo, that was the icing on the cake. The shot shells are very rare compared to the lead ball ammo. I have been hunting some display ammo since I got my 69/71 Swiss Veterlli. For being 70-90 years old, the stuff is in pretty good condition....but 99.9% of the time, it's become inert.

And....I think this is possibly the most expensive ammo I have ever bought... :chuckles:

I have a box of the shotshells, picked it up a show 30 years back. The primers will be dead in all that by now, but they will look cool displayed with the rifle, nice find.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Cool looking indeed
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Need to find some for display also.....But whenever I go somewhere that might have it I get sidetracked by the pretty guns and I end up forgetting about it.
