1935 M28/30

Post by TnBuckeye »

Kicking the tires on a M28/30 a few years ago is what got me into this whole Finn thing. I ended up passing on that one, getting a M39, but I had been trying to stay on the lookout for one since.

It came together this week. I am pretty excited about adding this one, my only M28/30!

Sweet!
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Nice rifle. I got two myself, and need to get them to the range.

Very nice rifle and all matching. My 1935 M/28-30 I find much more accurate than any of my M/39's. Congrats.

Thanks everyone! I also discovered it is on a Remington receiver, which is interesting to me as that is a first for me as well. Cannot wait to try it out! Bore is not shiny, but I see plenty of rifling still and no pitting.
