This factory 6602 Norinco, the only one I own but it's quite the shooter.

Real gun control is the ability to hit the target.

I for one will just be happy when I finally find one and have the cash to pay for it. Looks like I will be stuck with a Norinco though.

Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
I personally prefer Chinese Para's made from older SKS' with all milled parts.
Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
My favorite SKS is my only SKS, a 1973 "Yugo" M59/66A1.
It's a little front heavy like all Yugo's, but it's a great shooter.

I am collecting serial numbers and factory codes for my research these must be the full number and factory code for any value no names are attached the the info . This helps me keep track of when these guns show up and any new factory codes Photos are the best as shown in the attachments. My email is hbearse@comcast.net if you want to contribute

Will do Howie, next time I have them out.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

Nice ones, guys.
Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
I think this is my new favorite

"K" series non refurb in original laminate stock.
But the one I shoot all the time lately is my factory 625 Type 56, because I don't care what happens to it if, for example, I didn't get to clean it for a week after shooting or something.

Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
I like the M59/66 A1, and not only because it is the only SKS I have...

I like the little things, like the shutoff and night sights. Wish I could get a training grenade and some blanks to mess around with, but haven't seen any.

Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
my yugo 59/66a1 because they were the last ones made. i was able to find a new never fired one for 350 bucks. i like all the bells and whistles on the a1. only real knock on the yugo is no chrome barrel. ok so i guess i can only put 10,000 rounds threw it
Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
[quote="Drago"]That's a hard question. Some of mine are "prettier" than others, but some other's are more rare. I'd have to say, since I'm an Ex-DDR SKS collector, that my '49 Ex-DDR is my favorite,.....

Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
I only have three; two Tulas and one PLA. As far as the quality of the rifles the Chinese is the best. The one I like the most is a '52 Tula, because it was made in such a damn good year.

Nice to see a post from almost five years ago...

Funny thing is that I got a Serbian practice grenade, and a bunch of blanks, since then.Screwball wrote:Wish I could get a training grenade and some blanks to mess around with, but haven't seen any.

Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
My favorite one is an easy one, as I only have one SKS right now. It's a Sino-Soviet/Sino-Albanian Sterile (Ghost), with some stock graffiti on it. I love the been there, done that look of it.
