[quote="Junk Yard Dog"]It's a less expensive alternative to a Colt or S&W, there have always been such around. Not everyone needs a top shelf revolver with it's high cost. Most people who buy a gun for protection will keep it in a nighstand drawer for 50 years after firing a cylinder full to be sure it works and then will expect it to fire only one or two more times if needed. Iver Johnson, H&R, and numerous other smaller US gunmakers filled this market for years during the early to mid 20th century with little .32, or .38 revolvers. Belgium and Spain flooded the market with all sorts of small and medium sized revolvers and auto's.[/quote
 What Jim said, I learned an important lesson on my 27 S&W .44 mag. I'd left it in a display box for 5 yr., looked at it and wiped it 3-4 times, but did not roll the action. 5 yrs. and it was frozen up on two chambers. I mean stuck. Penetrating oil, much clicking and rolling, and it was a right again. Shooting it shook it good and loose. Don't leave any gun put up 5-10 yrs. and expect it to work.

With the front sight extension, this thing put's em on all the target now. Not as good as a 4" S&W like I hoped, but good. It is a 2&1/4. Another thing I noticed is the cylinder swings out low, so there are no empty cases that hang on the cylinder release like my S&W's.

Please explain "hexagonal crown" doesn't appear any different than most I've seen?
