Short shells

Post by Riva9999 »

Hi, I bought a box each of 7 1/2 and buckshot from Aguila (1 3/4" minishells). Anybody have experience with them? The guy at the store said the 7 1/2s might not cycle a semi but the buck should. I'm using a Benelli M4 super 90.

Thanks!

The only potential problem with shooting short shells in a full sized chamber is the potential for developing a ring of carbon in the chamber that can prevent full sized shells from feeding properly. Just make sure to brush out the chamber really well to prevent this from happening.

If you use them in a pump, pump vigorously; they will flip inside the action sometimes otherwise.
