M-1 Carbine Bullet for 7.62x 25 Tokarev?

Post by hudson29 »

I have been reloading Starline cases with Sierra 85 gr bullets that are expensive and wondered if possibly the Berry's M-1 Carbine 110 gr bullets might work in the Tok. Has anyone tried this? I have both a Soviet TT-33 & a CZ-52 that are very hungry . . .

If the diameter's the same and it doesn't make the loaded round too long I can't see any reason not to.

I would expect that a lot of folks on this forum would be interested in this loading. With the surplus getting more expensive and the new CA ammo restriction there has never been a better time to get this sorted.

The Sierra 85 gr bullets are also 308 and the CZ52 shot very well with them. I had no problems with them outside of the cost. It makes sense to try to get more use out of a bullet I already stock. At 110 gr the M-1 bullet is a bit heavier.
