The transformation is complete.

Post by websterz »

I felt good enough to spend some time in the shop today, and since my new RPK rear sight came in I did the AK makeover. The front wood is Bulgarian, the butt stock is new production and the bakelite grip is from who knows where. The sight is new production from Taiwan. AK builder has them made to their specs and it is rock solid. The wood doesn't all match yet but it's too damn cold to mess with it right now. Anyway, now for the pics.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I like the look of wood on these, but my long arms just aren't comfortable with the stocks so I eventually end up going over to an adjustable one. Plus I hate the "dong" on the Romanian wood...

I agree. Who the hell came up with that idea?
