M16 furniture

Post by Witchdoctor »

Ok I am trying to get some recommendations on some AR furniture for an AR 15 with a basic 16@ barrel, want it to be like the M16 style when it's all said and done. Basic black solid non adjustable butt and the triangle style handgaurd. I see some stuff available but it's for the 20" barrel, I know it's made just not real available, any leads on a good source for this type of furniture?

I have a midlength gas system and you have to modify the rifle length handguards to work on that. If you have the true short carbine handguards I'm not sure what you would need to do.

If you are going with a carbine barrel, believe these will work but can't find a review of them

There are triangular short forestocks made, but they are not authentic. I personally think they look silly. An XM177E2 (CAR) or M4 style set would be correct, and they look better. If I were building an AR today, I'd go with a keymod forend, can put gadgets anywhere you want, and they don't cut your hands without gloves like the quadrails do.
Browse here, they have whichever ones you want:

Brownell's has the keymod forends:

Start a new trend.....put a T-53 stock on an AR......you know like putting an archangel on a 91/30, just backwards
