Sonny what was the gas valve set on with the Chinese ammo? Were you experiencing misfires or misfeeds?

I think it was set on 1.3

Experienced a lot of failure to fire even tho the primer had a good dent in it and a few failure to extract.

Yeah I'm just trying to get a handle on what I might expect when my SVT shows up. I do know my Mosin 91/30 had no issues with the same ammo. Everything fired ok, extracted ok and accuracy was good as well.
From reading on the internet, many comments were made about the Chinese ammo liking 1.5 gas setting. That's why I wanted to know about misfeeds vs misfires. I guess it will be more reading to see what the old interweb has to say about dented primers!
I'm lucky I have a job that gives me the freedom to surf the web when I'm not crankin' it out for the man (not on my work computer - I have a big data plan for my phone).
