Antique Ammo

Post by Witchdoctor »

Hello all, I've been looking at some older ammo and not sure what it is and looking for opinions.....It's some 1920's ish era 7mm Mauser ammo by Winchester but it says it is a "full patch ctg", anyone know anything about this stuff ?

It's collectable, sounds like some sort of paper patch lead bullet, odd for such a small caliber. Don't shoot it as it's likely valuable to collectors.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Prior to full metal jacket bullets they did paper patch bullets, but these that you have are in fact full metal jacket, that is how they worded it way back in the day. Full patch = full metal jacket.
