Re: 2nd Admendment
Who said he will eliminate firearms imports? Especially ones from Russia?
I don't recall him ever saying he was going to change anything with Russia except try to get back on track with them. We will have to wait to see that one.
Unless there are millions of Mosins still stored in Russia someplace we don't know about, then there is not likely to be a "flood" of Mosin imports to drive the price down. They would throttle them into the USA to keep the price high. In all the years I have been collecting, I can't remember once the prices of firearms dropping dramatically. Yes, up or down a few buck ($50), but that about it. Prices right now are stabelizing a bit. That is because Hillary did not get in. People will calm down a bit now. You see it in ammo prices also except here in California where the Govt is still trying to take things away from us. President Obama sold more firearms then any other President in the USA's history.
Anyone telling you they know for sure .... is a liar. There is no such thing as for sure....and......NO ONE KNOWS. You'll have to wait with the rest of us!

I hope the prices drop for the sake of the new collectors, but the days of a "cheap" Mosin I think are gone. Maybe we can call it "the new cheap"?!

I'm just hoping the M-1's in Korea will be approved for release. Send your cards and letters to Trump... Wouldn't hurt.

Nope... It's pretty easy. That was one of Trumps first tasks in office. Cancel all the Presidential orders O'Bama wrote. Some experts say this can't be done. Baloney... In the past it was possible but not done out of respect for the previous President. Things are going to change.

Unless someone here has a functioning crystal ball we don't have a clue what is going to happen with any firearm legislation. You can rest assured that not much will get worse from a Federal level, but there is no guarantee that anything will change for the better either. The Federal Government will probably continue to defer to the States on most issues simply because it leaves them in a position to avoid controversy and leave them with plausible deniability. Time will tell.

And... that was the intent of the Federal Constitution - Federalism... Not to avoid controversy but to give the states the power, not the Federal Government.SA1911a1 wrote:Unless someone here has a functioning crystal ball we don't have a clue what is going to happen with any firearm legislation. When Americans get more money in their pockets
they will spend $ big wampum on guns, price don't go down. A '43 Ishevisk refurb may stabilize at a basic price, but the more people learn about the more unique varity's of Mosins the price will creep up, like the K-98's, Garand's , etc.

Re: 2nd Admendment
They run the full spectrum of condition, I have seen excellent condition M1's from Korea, some were US early 50's arsenal rebuilds that looked little used after the rebuild, and others that looked dredged up out of a river. This will be more of the same lot we got 30 years ago, hopefully this time without anyone stamping Blue Sky with a sledge hammer on the barrel.

I want to see a modification to the NFA that removes all the government bullshit requirements for owning suppressors. It would sure be nice to have a can on my nightstand pistol. A .45 will do some major hearing damage indoors.

With Trump that has both houses look up his 2nd Amendment guide lines. At least with him there is hope that things will change. One change he wants is for your home state carry permit to be good in all states.

Was? You DO realize he doesn't take office until January 20, 2017?

I would love for them to make available all the 1911 pistols in mothballs to the CMP to sell to us.
