US made Mosins - Finnish Marked:

Post by mrmark99 »

This past year I passed on about 25 or so Finn marked rifles that I saw, but for one reason or another, too high, too rough, already had a better example, etc.
But I did pick up two USA made M91's - A Remington Armory, and a New England Firearms that are both SA marked. One is mostly original and the other is a mix master of parts. One of them had a Tractor belt sling (rubberized canvas), and the other had an early 2 piece all leather SVT38 sling (This sling is now on my Kovrov arsenal SVT40 Finn marked rifle). They both ran me $350 each about 4 months apart.
And I also picked up a first Pattern Fiskars M27 Bayonet - without a scabbard. That's about it for my addition to the 'finn' collection this year. I go from November to November (based on the November Tulsa show) for my "year".
I am currently having photo upload problems from my I-phone to photobucket, but will post pictures when I can.

What is the bayonet numbered? How do you know it is a first pattern? I am interested in seeing pictures. Nice finds.
