Thank you for the advise SGT SemperFiSSGTSemperFi wrote:She should get the job done well, so long as you understand the non-conventional safety that she has, and why it's best not to carry her with a round in the chamber.Scott W wrote:Well between rain showers, I was able to shoot my Mosin Nagant PU for the first time this past Saturday. I have to say, I was very impressed, for a 72 year old rifle, I had no issue what so ever, accuracy was bang on. My daughters and I had so much fun shooting it. After shooting when I got home, I strip the rifle down ,clean it and reassembled it with no issues. I am thinking I might just take the rifle with me next month for deer hunting.

STV40, yea, yea, got it, nice one, now lets hear about the MoPar. 71 Hemi 'Cuda? '69 Superbee? Plumb craze purple 340 challenger? No getting away with a name with MoPar in it without telling us about the MoPar ride that SVT 40 gets to the range.Moparon 1 wrote:Hello I'm Ronnie aka moparon 1 just got my 1943 svt-40 now need to learn all I can about mosin nagant's . A friend of mine had a '69 coronet 4 dr with slant six and three on the tree back in the 80's. Dark green with radio delete and no power anything, he bought it from an older man in mint condition with 26,000 on the clock. He still had the car when he passed away in 1998, somebody in the family ended up with it . You don't see the coronet models nearly as much as the chargers at the shows, yet they are the same car under that bumper and trim, flip them over and they look the same, same engine's fit both and so on. Closest I had was a '69 Plymouth satellite 2 door 318 car, closest B body anyway, I had a lot of C and A body cars, '73 Duster, ' 71 Monaco, '72 Newport, '66 Newport, '74 Duster, '63 Dart, '63 880. '64 440, among others. Rust killed them all in the end, except the handful I sold.'
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Hello from the Philadelphia area. I picked up my first Moist Nugget yesterday. Did I say that correctly?
It's a 1922,or 1923, Hex Tula. Not in the best condition, looks like a bubba paint job.

After almost 5 years collecting mausers, enfields, mannlichers, and US vintage rifles I acquired my first Mosin - a 1944 VKT M39. Amazingly accurate and comfortable battle rifle. Should have looked at these sooner. As of this morning I have a 1932 Tikka M27 on the way.

Hi All,
I just added a 1948 Russian Mosin M44 to the collection and then found this forum. Been doing some research, and found plenty here to read up on to help me decide my next addition. I'm pretty sure it will be a Mosin.

Hello, Collectors!
New member from Tucson. My collection is just getting started. I started several weeks ago with a Yugo SKS, quickly followed by a Finnish M39, and my next one, a Tikka 91/30 is on the way. Undoubtedly I have overpaid for all of them but couldn't be happier with my newest pastime. And one more thing, my C&R license just came in the mail today so let the collecting begin.

Welcome to the board, you the real Chuck Norris of TV, movie, and ass kicking fame? I ask because if your not then the real Chuck Norris might take offence, and he knows way too much about how to beat the crap out of someone.Chuck_Norris wrote:Hello, Collectors!

Hello all. I'm an owner of a 91/30 and a T-53 and enjoy shooting both.
The 91/30 is an older import, a matching numbers Izhevsk I bought a few years ago from a gentleman with a crate of ammo and the T-53 is a 53.4 manufacture with all matching numbers I bought from Bud's back when they had them.

Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
hey folks! new guy from maine here. finally got myself a mosin nagant! been wanting one for years! its 48 1/2in long hex barrel iverinsk dragoon (i think!) 1926 manufacture from what i could find out online about it. its in very good condition. blueing looks new but maybe it was reblued? all serials match on barrel ,magazine, bolt and butt plate. only thing that doesn't seem to match up is the front sight post is hooded with the rear the flat style. if i was any good of posting pics i would! bolts very tight which suggests it wasn't shot much. stock has a few small scrapes but is in very good condition. has the spring in stock retained rings. another thing thats seems out of place , the top wood stock has steel caps on each end. the end cap is right against the front of the rear sight. pics I've seen of other dragoons , there is another short wood piece in between the back barrel band and the rear sight. I've been looking for about a week now and can't find any pics that match my gun. anyone got a idea what i have? bought it from aim surplus.
