Island Runner you just about stole those. Is secretary one of your employees? If so I would say an extra Christmas Bonus is in order for bringing you the deal.

Hello Everyone,
I've been reading of this forum and have learned much from you guys...thank you. I have a few milsups rifles and thought I was ready to purchase my first mosin..until I started reading this forum. You guys are a wealth of information and I just want to try and get a good Mosin with the correct markings and would actually like to get an authentic sniper. I'm looking forward to that purchase and posting pics. Thank you

Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
hi guys. like a lot of collectors i started with more modern guns and have finally worked my way back to collecting milsurps. ive been member of theakforum.net for many years and love it.
im sure you're all aware of the youtube channels forgotten weapons, candrsenal, and i believe its called the great war. theyve really gotten me interested in some of the older bolt action firearms.
i read the instructions, and fwiw, I actually feel the same way. I am hard core about preserving guns in their original finish, configuration and condition as much as possible, whether they be ak kit builds or mosins. Do whatever you want, but a pet peeve of mine is people touching weapons with their bare hands unnecessarily. imho it does contribute to premature aging. at the range maybe go ahead and make contact but at home try to make contact with gloves of some sort or use a cloth.

Im new but I suppose I shouldve made my first post here. I am from Maine/NH and have been collecting for ten years now. I like Finn/early Mosins, Enfields, interesting Mausers, French arms and other milsurps. Recently I acquired a MAS-44, 49/56 and a non refurbd 1954 Tula SKS. I grew up watching the History channel and reading military history books so this sparked an interest in milsurps. I also have a degree in history with a focus in American/European military history.

A few of my favorites. A 44 SA Garand, 42 Sako M39 with hang tag and a 38 28/30.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
