I took some pictures of one of my M27 trigger and sear units. All triggers should feel this good.

They are almost always unbelievably smooth trigger combinations. All or most of them I have ever run across the pins are permanently placed or maybe they could be driven out with a punch. This one the pin slid out easily and I had a 3 piece trigger sear assembly. I will take it apart again and get some pics of is if I can. Surprisingly simple and works so well. Typical Finnish engineering, sweet and simple! Bill

I have 12 M27's in modified M91/30 stocks in my database. All are dated 1935 or earlier. The common trend with all of them is the location of the "CAI ST ALB VT" import more forward on the muzzle. If a collector finds a supposedly correct M27 in M91/30, but the import stamp is partially or totally obscured, then the stock was not on the rifle at the time of importation. One of the few cases where the import stamp is helpful!

Here's mine:

I seem to have the opposite. I got it from TopperT and and it is one of my favorites. Seems to be a Tikka 91/30 in a M/27 stock. Also has purple barrel and receiver is round. Also brass bands. CAI import mark looks to be in similar place.

capt14k, I have seen several examples like yours. However they are very uncommon. The Finns reused the rear-end halves of M27 stocks to make functional stocks for Tikka M30's and captured M91/30's. Waste not, want not. I have even seen one that still had the unit disk in it!

Long story short, your rifle has a "correct" M91/30 stock made with part of a M27 stock.

Thank you for the info. It is one of my favorite Finnish Rifles. It is one of the two firearms I will not fire.
