Factory 306 refurb

Post by kjohn »

Scored a Factory 306 Chinese refurb on Friday night at the Dauphin, Manitoba show. The show wasn't open to the public until Saturday and we were just wandering around looking at other vendors' goodies.

The price was $150. Even the common Russian refurbs are selling for over $200 now, so I scooped it. A vendor that sells aftermarket stuff came by my table the next morning and advised me to crank the price up, as these rifles are very scarce.

A young fellow came along on Saturday, stared at it for a long time, didn't pick it up or ask any discount. Bought it and a crate of Romanian surplus. Walked away beaming! :) It seemed to Dean and I that he knew very well what he had found.

Damn you Canadians, I'd love to see an SKS at $200.

I see that all the time on eBay, I list something with the make me an offer option and they just buy it for the asking price without ever making me an offer for less. I wouldn't offer the make an offer option unless I was willing to take less money for something, I thought that would be common knowledge but it seems not.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
