I have bought many of my firearms online however I usually don't buy from dealers and rarely from gunbroker. I bid a lot on gunbroker, but I don't win often. Most of my purchases have come from forums and everyone has been positive. My best deals have been locally FTF but I live in NJ so they are few and far between.
I paid less than $450 for all of my Finnish Rifles which I now have 1-2 examples of each from M/24-M/39. I learned to be cheap and not chase something because another will come along. For instance the Finnish M/42 Bayonet, which only 150 were made, I had 3 options to buy in the last 3 months. Two of them the price was too high so I passed, the third was just right, but I didn't go after it so a friend could have it. Hopefully one of the other sellers will lower his price. If not I will wait for the next one to come up for sale. I wish I had started collecting when some of the older guys did. I would likely have 4-5 examples of each Finn Rifle and probably wouldn't have paid much more than I have. Hopefully when they start selling them off I will be able to get some deals lol.

Finnish M28 & M28-30 for Sale Question About Finish
Re: Finnish M28 & M28-30 for Sale Question About Finish
From the way you post you seem to have patience and right now I see that as the best trait to have theses days! There is no instant success in anything and like you said you don't win every battle. I try to sell over what I paid for things but with everything being so high these days I have to sell at what it would cost me to replace something and that really hurts the buyers. But what is one to do if not that way? I doesn't make for great buys unless the seller is really strapped for cash. Good Luck! Bill

Absolutely I would expect the seller to make a profit. Your funds were tied up in the firearm for years, you are more than entitled to a profit on it. That's good investing. If you happen to have a AG42B or FN-49 (anything but 8mm) come up for sale please keep me in mind. Also any Finnish Bayonets, Fluted Green Painted Scabbards, or Frogs.zeebill wrote:From the way you post you seem to have patience and right now I see that as the best trait to have theses days!
