Go to the banner under the main banner at the top that says, HISTORY INFORMATION AND ACCESSORIES and you will see C&R. It will explain the license requirements and uses.

I spoke with SOG customer service today about where they will or will not sell to. Their current policy is to ship to any licensed 01 FFL with the exception of Calif. or handguns in NY. They will ship to an 03 if the state recognizes it. What the licensee does with the firearm after it is received is not their business. It is the responsibility of the 01 FFL to know their state laws.

What I think is weird is, I live in CAlif. and have don business with SOG many times. I have a 03FFL and a CA Certificate of eligibility. They will sell C&R rifles to me.

But.....SOG won't sell any thing to a 01FFL's in the state! That is because the state requires a special license to send a firearm to California to a 01FFL dealer. But there is no restriction on 03FFL's. Go figure. So no one wants to get that license, so....no sales to 01FFL's. But 03FFL's ...OK.

Stupid...right?

PS: I'd avoid that sanded stock rifle also.

I don't think you can remove Tru-oil. It soaks in, if you have one already done, the best thing to do would be sand the runs and put a little more back over the spots. It's a good finish, I'm not recommending everyone strip and Tru-oil, but if it's done, roll with it if you get a good buy.
