Re: bcd4 LSR
I think the "proper" term is "a filler mount and filler scope. Meaning it is not the original or (real) scope, but one placed on temporarily to show what it looks like complete. "fillers" are used all the time on rifles missing the optics.
Re: bcd4 LSR
I have an improper filler scope on it at the moment. Gonna take it out and see if the rifle will shoot. Had to make beer engineered shims but they actualy worked well and cant be seen. Catchin up on funds and then back to the looking for scopes. I am pretty pleased with the progress considering I am a poor poor peasant and where this rifle started

Let us know how it shoots.

That's an awesome save you're doing, and I would have done it in a heartbeat especially if the price was real good (which by the sounds of it it was).
I'll be looking forward to a range report, even if it is with the "wrong" glass on it.

For you newer members here, you need to know just what a super-human feat Des took on here. He is well known in the collecting circles for not spending more than $1.42 at any one time. Gotcha Des.
