The History of the M91 Dragoon Rifle According to Classic

Post by djbuck1 »

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but do NOT miss the pure, unadulterated nonsense:

https://www.classicfirearms.com/m91-30- ... refinished

Damnit! They took it down. :very mad:

Sorry guys.

But it will never be forgotten by those of us lucky (?) enough to have read it.

I'm certain that they were. I had a feeling they would take it down, so I went back to block-and-copy, but it was already gone. Shoot. It was like someone on acid (or some other powerful hallucinogenic) combining a bastardized history of Berdan dragoons, M91 Dragoons, and M91-30 ex-Dragoon refurbs all into one.

Saw this yesterday. They must have someone reading the forums and decided to remove it.

Ah now to see what they replace it with!!
Governments don't live together.
People live together.
Governments don't give you a fair word
or a fair fight. I've come here to give you either one.
Or get either one from you.

I haven't even visited their website since the M39 deal. And even if they are the last online place to buy I won't even give them a click.

This is your brain on cocaine folks, see what happens? Just say no.

This is a cleaned up version, no doubt put together by whomever told them their first "edition" was a nonsensical piece of schmick.

I think maybe we should write our own version.

"Once upon a time in a land far away the M91 Dragoon got its name from the Latin word Dragon. Knights used to use them to hunt the great lizards for sport. They were called Ye Olde Dragoons as a result"

How's that? I could work in the Classic marketing department.

Ah the old MO mark...you know the Ministry of Defense...you might get lucky. But have a Blessed day and thank the Lord for fools. Hypocrites. Honest Christian folk don't use it for monetary gain.

I'm surprised they changed it, especially if it was because it was inaccurate. Never stopped them before.

I guess that I missed
the elaborate receiver stampings that were characteristic of the Dragoon era rifles
on all of my ED's. I feel cheated :x :x

this is why many retailers have no descriptions when they list firearms haha

other sites list as hardwood or laminate, round or hex, etc

i am just surprised a company like classic who is known for selling mosins for years would mess up like that lol
