Shelby, please no providing free advertising to whatever douchebag listed that on GB, no active auction links, only sold auction links. Yes, this sort of crap comes up for sale every now and then. Years back the M39 was a $45 rifle,, well within Bubbas piggy bank capacity, many were sporterized like this. Today with the much higher prices of these rifles few would be stupid enough to hack on them.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Most milsurps are cheap when they first come available on the US market. Sellers have no market in place for the new rifles and they need a quick return to cover expenses. They always set aside some of the stock for later sale should prices rise, and they always rise. The Burns M39's that are selling today are an anomaly, the company run by Burns Sr got into trouble with the Fed and the stock was in limbo for years before the family was allowed to sell it off otherwise most of it would have sold long ago for much lower prices.
