I think we need to stop being tempted to buy the Bubba rifles cheap, even if it is to save wear on ours. Just take care of the nice ones you have. You ain't gonna wear them out. They can stuff the Bubba rifles where the sun don't shine.

Well I decided to buy a 1929 Izhevsk ex-dragoon from a fellow member on Gunboards for 250.00 after shipping and transfer it will be 310.00 total and its all matching with a lined out and re-stamped floor plate, looks like and earlier refurb with a post war stock, good bore and strong rifling, sadly it has the billboard import mark but oh well,

What sold e on it was the two curious stamps on the rifle, a K in a circle on the receiver and a X in a circle on the barrel shank, i do not know what these mean yet and as soon as i can figure out how to transfer photos from google drive on my phone to my home computer I will share the photos the previous owner sent me and once i get it I will add my own.

My dad was a Sgt. Maj. in the USMC, I use to walk around the base with him when I was 10, 11, 12 years old at Camp Lejeune and Camp Pendleton. I remember one time I used the exact same words, my Dad used. But used to inform my older brother that he left his bike in the rain. .... "soapbox2:

But...my Dad (the Sgt. Maj.) was using those words explaining. Why, is that M-60 (pig) is on that tripod, in the rain Alone...And...I find three Marines huddled scared to get wet.... :furious:

Gosh, I miss those one-liners my Dad would use on my moron brother. Especially when my brother would tell my Dad, "I need five dollars" .

Mom, use to say ever since then I had a potty mouth. Well,...sometimes. :tongue: .. Judi and her Mosin's ;mywink;

No worries Judi, the entire tri-state area talks like that just in normal conversation. I even know a man of the cloth who's language is worse than mine or yours when he gets riled up, of course you will not hear him take the name of the Lord in vain, but everything else is fair game.

:soapbox:
:biggrin: My seventh grade teacher was an retired 1st SGT and my eighth grade teacher was a "Gunny" in the reserves :ugeek: .... parent teachers nights were at most interesting. They use to snap quiz me on the Ten General Orders, how to read a map, recite the history of the USMC, and the always ...Sing the Marine Corp Hymn.

:2cents:
I know how Dads get in trouble thou, when I was seven. I was trying to cut my own hair. Well my Dad came home and finished the hair-cut in a high and tight Marine fashion. When my Mom came home she was pretty upset. :facepalm2:
