“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I am slowly gathering Leupold scopes for my Canadian boys. I now have three VX1's and a VX2. I have three American 455's as well. Nice little rifles, they are.

I have a BRNO #1. The forerunner of these rifles. Good stuff.

So far, I have shot some of them, and they are tack drivers. They even make me look good!

The .17 American got a good workout in a gopher patch in June. Wickedly, wickedly accurate, and fast! I did some scope switching since the pic was posted and haven't got a scope on the Canadian .17. Just got some rings and will put either a VX-1 or 2 on it.

Wow, those are beautiful! :Drool1: I love my CZ452 Military Trainer as it's the most accurate rifle I own. CZ makes some nice stuff.

Last time I shot groundhogs (I know they are not gophers but they are similar) I used a .222 Remington. I might have to get a .17 Those three are very nice indeed. Classy touch with the Maple Leaf
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!
