took my new to me K31 to the range this weekend. Best shooting gun i own! Open sights, nearly 60 year old eyes and still had a 3" group (6 shots) at 100

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

funny story on the GP-11 ammo, Gun showed up a couple of days before my ammo that I ordered was going to be here. Seeing as my boy was leaving to go to his home and he wanted to shoot this 1933 K-31 I called all around looking for some 7.5 ammo. Found some in a little store 30 miles from here for .595 cents a round-GP11. I bought all they had, to bad it was only four boxes. They were glad to get rid of it and I was glad to buy it.
