SKS Info Needed

Got a paratroper with BTC SEM.CA on it No other import info.Anyone know any more about this?

There actually never was a Paratrooper rifle ever built by any nation in SKS. It's a Chinese gun made per the request of US dealers years ago. Just a gimmick rifle to sell to the US public. Chinese SKS rifles were cut off and hacked up to sell to the American dealers. Just another gimmick gun.

Yes, and sometimes they added a cheap AK mag conversion to the Para SKS, shoot a round and the magazine falls out onto your toes.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

The import mark is for Briklee Trading Company, South El Monte, California.

And regardless of the commercial aspect of the shortened barrel, it is a fine performing gun, with equal or better capabilities of the original military configuration. Most actually shoot much tighter groups than the 20" barrel carbines, as the harmonics offer less whip and flex, and the newly cut crowns emit even gas dispersion.
