Leaning towards Tung Oil and trying to figure out who's to use. Just stumbled across this picture at work today and the number seemed so familiar to me. Just checked and it is.
 That is really cool ! Can't wait to see some pics, did you have a favorable impression of your rifle when you got it ?

Thanks, I didn't take any pictures of it when I first got it. Wasn't thinking. Need to get it back together.

This is on my wish list. Bad news for you and I is that I will probably have to fire it at least a few times. I know that could effect value. But its like an itch I have to scratch. :furious:

I received mine from Classic. Excellent condition stock, excellent blueing, non matching dust cover, missing tubular cleaning kit and no log book. So much for "hand pick". I emailed them and got the "hand pick does not guarantee all accessories". I advised that the listing and my receipt both read "....and troop log book". He said they will send me out a log book if he can find one in the warehouse. I told him I would rather they send it to the person who ordered the matching rifle, but he said they already sent it. If I get it, I'll post the number on the off chance someone ordered a non hand select and could use the book.

Very nice. Excellent.
They could at least give you hand select refund.
But that is a really nice looking rifle.

The book I received is for serial number H251590, if by chance anyone has this rifle and wants the troop log book I would be happy to ship it too you for the cost of shipping.
