From Hungary again...

Post by 7x57 »

When I saw this nice, dark brown stock (walnut?) I couldn't say "NO"...

My newest acquisition - a Hungarian .22lr training rifle. These are pictures I've got from the seller - more own ones will come sooner or later.

Clean looking rifle, nice find, :vcool: :vcool: :vcool:

I have one of those , kind of rare on our side of the pond. Here is a pic of a kid carrying one during the 56 uprising.

Thanks, Gentlemen. These rifles aren't found that often here, too. Maybe a little bit more frequently than in the US, but they are still rare items. Now I have to look for the correct accessories like sling, muzzle cover etc. After all I have found on this topic so far this might be the harder part...

Well, finally I could inspect my Hungarian .22lr Lámpagyár Kispuska 48M cadet rifle in flesh and took the opportunity to take a few pictures. Here they come:

Rifle is in great shape with a mirror-bright bore with sharp rifling. Stock also looks great and shows only minor traces of storage an wear - except a small, professionally repaired spot on the right side of its front end.

Very nice. I love bolt action .22's They are fun to shoot and easy to work on. And most of them are pretty darn accurate.
It is always nice to see when someone finds something like that. :vcool: :vcool: :Drool1:

Love it, love it, love it. If you could write up some interesting facts, and take some more pictures with slightly better lighting, the post could really stand out. Hint, hint...maybe for the showcase? Training rifles are some of my favorite varieties to collect. You have a super nice one there. I have never seen one before.

Better photos will come for sure in the next months - as soon as I find time to take them. The pictures posted above were simply taken after I had unwrapped the rifle at the gun seller's place where I have to store the rifle for some time due to our firearms regulations. Few time, a cramped basement room with far from perfect lighting - so regrettably only pictures of mediocre quality this time...
