A day or so after that price showed up Buds put a little note off to the side, saying there was a software problem and some pricing was incorrect. However that's been over a week and the high M44 price is still there. Who knows maybe a few people bought them at that price and they decided to stay with it.

When I first found the M44 on SOG, they had sold off a few 91/30's. They had only been posted a day or two so there must not have been many. The M44 was priced in the $800+ range initially. It came down the next day. Just not down far enough. :2cents:

Ordered a 91/30 last night from Buds. Paid for it and filled out all the transfer info. Received this email this morning
We will refund your credit card payment. Once our accounting staff has processed your refund the funds will post to your account in 3 to 5 business days. During our system upgrade, our staff has identified several computer listing and/or inventory issues that have caused us o be unable to fill your order as it was placed. Our IT department is working to get these issues resolved, as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Orders effected by these issues have been canceled and payment will be refunded/voided in full. You should receive email confirmation detailing this as the refund is processed. For additional information, please see our Conditions of Use. Thank you, Team Buds . This morning the listing for the 91/30 and the 500 dollar M44 have disappeared.

So they pumped up your hopes and then dumped them on the floor so they could stomp on them, nice. If this company was a class act the company officers would go into their private stashes and make good the orders from the rifles they personally stashed away. You know damn well they all have something hidden away. That would teach them to keep on top of something as important as making sure they have something to sell before actually taking your money for it.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

In the world I grew up in, men kept their words even if it hurt their pocket books. If one of the country's largest gunsellers can't man-up and honor their advertisements, then I have no use for them any more. It is not like they would go broke, they would just not make as much as they wanted to. What ever happened to honor?

Follow up in reference to my post above Weds june 17 2015 10:45 am

Today I received a call from Buds customer service department.

"The reason for my call is that I read your recent review on
Resellerratings.com and wanted to follow up with you. I apologize for
the inventory error on your order. We have been undergoing a system
upgrade that has caused several issues for us, one being with inventory
at our local warehouse facility. We changed over to a new Point of Sale
system which resulted in thousands of firearms having to be relocated
and worked through a manual process. Unfortunately, we had firearms that
were no longer in inventory show as available on the web site, even
posted items that were located electronically in our Returns department.
We are working to resolve these issues as quickly and efficiently as
possible and appreciate your understanding.

We have in the mean time received more inventory of these Mosins. If you
are still interested in ordering please let me know. They are not
currently posted to the web site and I have one held for you. I'd very
much appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

Customer service rep.could not have nicer or more helpful.
Long story short my Mosin was shipped today.
Happy camper again.
