1951-55 Mosin kbk wz.44

Post by Miller Tyme »

I started out to get a complete run of Polish M44's about 2 years ago with the intent of getting only pristine matching models and my searching is finally complete with my acquisition of a 1954 model.

Those are fantastic. Good job! I am still familiarizing myself with the different Mosins. Some one out here had a Polish one for sale that looked brand new (based on posted pictures). Is it common for the Polish ones to be cleaner looking? Those all look amazing!

a fair amount of Polish M44's look to have never been issued, while there are others that look to have been dragged behind a T-34.

“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I have one that looks new, one that has no finish and one in between.

The combined value of all 5 of these is quite impressive when you think about it.

Thanks everyone, the 54 was the hardest to find with close to 2 years spent finding one for sale, so what happens the day I find this one, I end up find 2 more, and all where pristine. :crazy.gif:
