Mine would be a 1933 M27.

And a NEW M91 is so easy to shoot.

I take a selection when I shoot and always enjoy shooting them all.

Love my M44 but I shoot my M39s more. I love my M39s! I carry an old 1891/30, 1930 Izhevsk in postwar stock, with a little throat erosion, for a truck gun. Thinking about getting another M44 for a truck gun though. Gotta love those carbines! :D

I try not to play favorites, it hurts the ones that are left behind too much. On Monday, I am taking a beat up, no finish, Polish M-44 for a first test run. Since I am having eye surgery already on Tuesday, it won't be so bad if it goes belly-up.

My M39 VKT had been out the most. Close runner up is a 43 Izhevsk wartime Mosin ands a 44 M44.

My favorite to shoot is a tough choice. It is a close call between my B M39 and 1939 M28-30 and they are dead on at 100m (No need for taller post WIN). I had a blast shooting golf balls that were scattered on the berms at our local "range." At 100m its fun to see golf ball, then fire and no more golf ball...and occasionally you can see them fall from the sky a second later farther down the range.

I am with the scribe87 I shoot my RV27 the most of all rifle I own. It has a hair trigger and shoots like a dream. All I have ever done to it is shoot and clean it as I got it from a feller who was one of the best rifle caretakers I have ever known. If I can find him I would seek him out for questions often but he lives wayout in the country and I never catch him home. Bill

My 1941 m39 is my fav but a close second is my '44 9130 Ex-sniper. There is just something about the Ex that is pleasant to shoot - the bore is excellent, it's very accurate, it's lighter than all my other 9130's, the trigger is as good as a Huber(almost) and it just has a lively feel the others do not have. Hard to figure why but it's a pleasure to shoot.

It's a toss up between my M39 and my PU sniper.

each mosin type rifle I buy is checked for headspace with the okie gauges and then test fired. My designated "shooter" is a 1939 91/30 simply because out of the 9 mosin types i own,it has an excellent bore and functions flawlessly.

My "bannerized" 1938 M91/30. Cost me all of $35, and is very accurate. This is the one I hunt with.

I shoot my '44 9130 laminate more now than my '44 M44 carbine. The carbine has an excellent almost like unfired bore (so is the whole of it), shoot groups that hover at 2.5 inches @ 50 yards. The 9130 with dark slightly frosty bore shoot groups less than 2 inches at same yardage. Still figuring out how to extract better potential from the carbine as a shooter. I only have 2 mosins as well!

Its probably my 1927 laminated hex 91/30 but the 1944 Tula ex-sniper is a close 2nd, keep the 1944 Russian M44 for unsuspecting new shooters who my daughter has come out with us to play, Flame thrower!

Considering that I shoot my Mosin maybe... Maybe ten times every three months, 1938 1891/30 from Tula.

It's my favorite by default, and I'd like to add an M1891, Dragoon, Sniper, The Three Carbines, and one each of the more common Finns. And zeebill's M1907, if you'll consider it. :wave.gif:
