Stevens 620A 12 ga.

Post by kjohn »

Scooped a nice old 620A to add to the pile. I consider this a real shotgun.

It is a real shotgun, I have had one for years, real steel. :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Yup, that's a real shotgun. Great bedguns... Racking the slide on those all steel pumps gives an evil sound. :devil2:

Took the girl out last Sunday and smoked a few clays. It needs a drastic cleaning, but it fits me good. I shot about 60-70%. I love shooting those old shotguns!

Good ol' Stevens 520/620 series shotgun. Takedown is interesting on these.

The gun gods were smiling on me this weekend. :) I scooped a nice old 620 12 ga. from the fellow I was helping at the Saskatoon show. I had big plans for this one until I got looking a bit closer. It has really nice wood, not all chewed up. The finish was toast so I Circa 1850'd it today, cleaned the checkering out carefully and started on a BLO journey. I'm not sure what to do about the metal, however I will just clean it good for now. I'll post some pics of the old girl when I am done the wood.

What is the difference between a 620 and a 620A?
