That's pretty cool. Tooling around in one of those looks like a lot of fun.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

The hit an miss weighs about 150 plus lbs. and produces 1 1/2 hp, so I'd say ...no.. :chuckles: I doubt it could pull itself!

My second car after the dunebuggie.

65 cuda
Small block, Isky roller cam, ported and polished, 11 to 1 popups (Jahn's), Edelbrock manifold, Carter AFB jetted out, and fender well exit headers (they were Hell on the front tires!).

My current vehicle:
carbon fiber tube, double loaded crome moly springs, neoprene rubber pad.....Next week I'm putting on some of those "streamers" to replace the red white and blue stocks ones. Maybe some sparkly red ones!!

Not my truck, but one of our field trucks. It is on my server and makes me laugh when I see it! :chuckles:
He fell asleep! Went up a hill and hit a tree. Rolled backwards and sideways and rolled over.
Must have been a interesting way to "wake up"!

PS,.......BRAND NEW TRUCK! (2 weeks old...totaled)

Horse Power! and Buggies!

That rail is about to go. I need to get rid of it before I die in it. It is very difficult to handle, and you can quickly get into trouble with it.

I run it on Sand Mountain in Nevada. About 30 minutes from my Brothers house in Fallon.

This buggy was my first car. Now it is just for fun and parades and such.

Yanked the engine out. Needs new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, throw out bearing. Also I have a problem in the Diff to work on next.

2 hours (by myself) to get the engine out and to the flywheel.

I'm doing a partial restore on it again. This will be it's 2 make overs since I built it in 1969!
buggy_restore.jpg

Very wide stance. It is running Corvair Van axles to hold the engine power. That makes it track over 4" wider.

Time for some more chrome and billet parts for the engine! BLING!!
buggy9.jpg

My son is going to "ghost flame" down the side of it for me also (on the black side panels). I want to build a 140HP engine this winter for it. 4 Carbs and will end up with maybe 175 plus HP when done. It's fast enough right now, but I love the look of the 140HP engines! Right now I can pull the front tires off the ground from a cold start and almost into 2 gear. Of coarse, I don't that type of thing any more! The rear engine mount bar is flatened on the bottom from it running on it like a wheelie bar. I guess I should do something about that also....maybe wheels! :chuckles:

Very likely I do, I have corvairs left in the odd corners of the yard, and possibly even some units out mixed in with the old parts.

JYD,

Look around your yard and see if you have a Corvair engine laying around with 4 carburetors on the top. I'm looking for one. I'm going to upgrade my buggy!!

Engine is back in and all fitted up. Need to fill oil and trans up. Also put the exhaust headers back on.

This weekend I'll probably fire it back up.
