It is generally recommended that commercial .308 Win. not be shot in FR7's or 8's. Stick with NATO issue ammo, or reloads that approximate it. (147 gr. bullet at 2700 fps)

Yep. Don't think I'd be feeding any rifle commercial 308 if could be helped. I'll stick to NATO/Milspec ammo for this and my M1A.

yes only the NATO ammo ,Q3130 white box Winchester is very good new box of 20 rounds and goes for about 11.99 a box and up depending your location ,but stay with the NATO spec 7.62x51 mm. M80 ball in US fabric green bandollers can be had at many gunshows for a good price ,same NATO headstamp ,usually it IS Winchester made . a lot of British in dark green plastic pouch bandoleers seem to be plentiful ,not match grade ,but its NATO spec too 75.00 for 90 rounds is about average cost ,again depends on location . love these little carbines .Oh ,Ive got a 1916 Spanish mauser as well ,beautiful blonde tiger stripe stock ,accurate and a great rifle ,they are not as expensive as some do to the Hysteria of old ....and new that follows ,but mine is superb .I do not regard them as cheapy rifles .
