Wow that's a tough question. My first Finn M27 that I got for $106 OTD Or my 1901 No1 MkIII with queen Victorias crest on it. (She died that year in Sept I believe) Or a couple of others. That's a really hard one. :vconfused:

For a Mosin it would be the mint matching Polish M44. Otherwise it would be the matching Wz31 because finding another one and being able to afford it would be very hard.

Yeah, For me it's like telling me you are going to pull all my teeth, and leave only one. Which one would you like?

My favorite to fire is different from my favorite to handle. And also different from my nicest looking. Too many different "favorites" for me...... D

I've had to make this choice many times when the locker was full but money was tight. I also find that the fewer firearms I own, the more I appreciate (and shoot) what I have. It would be too much to ask to ask a pistol to do a shotgun's job, so this is what I have (and have come back to).
Shotgun: Browning BPS Invector 26" Bbl (the fourth one I've owned)
Pistol: Beretta 84BB
Revolver: S&W 15-3 (the fourth or fifth one I've owned)
Rifle: Well, I do have more than one MN. But if I had to pick it would probably be a very plain and very common 1943 Izhevsk 91/30, if only because it's the only one that comes close to having all its original pieces. Still, I prevaricate and tell myself that I couldn't get anything for my Mosins so there's no point trying to sell one.

My favorites - 1942 Tula 91/30 and 1945 Izhevsk M44 - both from my collection of two Mosins (so far) :D

Two is two more than many Soviet soldiers had when they went into battle against heavily armed German troops.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

This one may look familiar to some, arriving next week to join the rest of the Lotta collection - tough decision but this one definitely has an edge. ;)

For me its a toss up between my 43 Springfield Garand and my 43 Standard Products M1 carbine. Probably lean toward the carbine ever so slightly.

It all depends on which one I am fondling at the time. And these rifle ARE prone to fits of jealously at a moment's notice! Not an easy undertaking to manage a harem. :?

Tough call, probably 95% of my firearms are my favorite and I have an emotional attachment to. I might be able to pare it down to just ONE rifle of each model but even that would be hard. Last year I sold off several 91/30's and an M44 to thin out the collection. If I had to sell it all off I would probably keep a .45 Ruger Vaquero, a compact 1911, a .22 (maybe a Henry Mare's Leg), an A1 AR15 from a surplus parts kit and maybe a No5 Jungle Carbine or an M39. Wait, maybe a K31...or the No2 Enfield...could I just keep them all???

I have always been a fan of the short and handy carbines as well. the favorite (and most valuable) rifle in my mosin type rifle collection is my 1951 polish m44 . bought it back in the 90"s for what today would be considered a pittance. It's had A total of about 10 rounds put through it in the last 20 years.

I had to think about this one long and hard, and my Original Matching 36 Tula Simonov Trials Rifle would have to be it.

There sure are a lot of favorites around here, and for good reason. I just picked up my first Swiss K31, ands at the moment I am at least mesmerized by the mechanics of the bolt design. Very..............Swiss. I love it.

1914 M91 Dragoon (Izhevsk)

Or is it the 1930 Dragoon (Tula) . . .

. . . and every other Mosin Nagant I own.

That's a beauty. :)

Trust me, I don't know how anyone could pick just one...

Though of all the Lottas in the collection I have to give preference to the KLP - as shown above too. ;)

Had to get this one outside for a picture that would really do it justice. (more to come when the snow melts)
