Watch a Utube vid that deals with this. It is a method that adds a thin washer with one side filed/ground off under part of the trigger mechanism. Not hard to do....SBP....61 Mosins and looking

I will advice staying very far from those bubba-washer tricks. One might mess up really bad.

I suggest going the good old road, stoning the surfaces lightly. That'll do the trick. Safely.

Always bumb-test the sear/trigger if you do something with them.

You own every round that comes out of that weapon, even the accidental ones. You do not want to be that guy standing up in court and explaining to a jury what you did 'cause all they will think is that the rifle worked before you broke it. Leave the trigger alone, it's a 60-120 year old military rifle, it's supposed to have creep.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I have been messing with Mosins for more years than I want to admit and I very rarely mess with triggers. For the most part they are what they are! If I do I never try them out till after I bump test then and check them out thoroughly before any ammo is in them. If you want to go to your grave knowing your stupidity and hard headedness is what killed someone maybe you ought to mess with video games and not the real things. Believe me a Mosin loaded can kill easily where a video game is a toy, don't ever get them mixed up! Bill :o

You ever see one of them game doohickeys Bill? Someone tossed one out in the scrap, a brick of plastic and steel the size of a big phone book, weighs 2-4 pounds. I could pummel someone to death with that thing. My rule of triggers is that I don't touch them, nobody ever saw me touch them, you will never hear me say I touched them, and if the rifle is inspected there will be nothing to suggest I touched them. If I shoot somebody it's going to be for a damn good reason and they had it coming, not because my rifle bumped a table and went off on it's own.
