Re: Tech Sights
Not on an SKS but it really improved the accuracy of my Ruger 10/22.

I put a Mojo on my VZ-2008. I'll post a report when work and weather line up and I can get to the range. If I like it I may use that instead of a Tech on one of my SKS's. IT was really easy to install and I don't have to bugger the rear housing latch.

Re: Tech Sights
ride and slide asked me a PM question and I thought I would post part of the reply to get some feedback.
I put the Mojo sight (easy to google) on a VZ-2008 the Czech AK. I would consider it roughly the same as an SKS in the type of sights and the sight distance.
I hope to get to the range sooner or later. The adjustable rear sight will help with the canted front sight.
The Tech sight looks like a great sight. I did my research and I think it would be superior to the Mojo because of the increase in sight distance
I had two minor problems with it:
1. It looks like you will destroy the bolt cover latch because you have to take it out. I can't see how to remove the little pin.
I would not like to mess up any part on the Chinese rifle.
2. I have also read that some rifles (specifically the Yugo) may need some stock modifications.
3. You have to remove the Tech sight to clean the rifle. I wonder if you will have troubles with maintaining zero.

According to Tech Sight, it maintans zero when removed and reinstalled for cleaning. If i do it, i will go with the Tech Sight. let me know how the range trip goes.

Re: Tech Sights
That's what is great about this forum. We have people that will try things out and then report. I prefer the rear aperture to the rear notch. I am looking forward to how the Tech sight works out.

Improved the accuracy = more range time. It is the person shooting. Judi and her Mosins

Re: Tech Sights
I'm sure the more you practice, the better you will get, even if you have no sights !!! I am discussing the pros and cons of different hardware. But i appreciate your non-helpful input.

Re: Tech Sights
Update:
The Mojo isn't working. It sits high and bounces up and down. It seems to be installed right. I have checked on some other forums and heard the same problem. It snapped in OK but the rear of the sight it sits about 3/16 ths of an inch above the base. It just bounces up and down when I fire the rifle. I'll remove and reinstall and hope for the best. Anyone have any helpful information?
