Any best estimates?

Post by berkmberk1 »

Best value estimate please - VERIFIABLE WW1 Prussian Contract C96 holster in very good condition, only missing one hinge screw, no other damage. Included is the original WW1 full military harness minus accessories.

You're absolutely right. Though I would imagine complete original stock/harness rigs are about the same price as a good C96 itself!

Around where I thought. I heard near $1250 too. Its definitely a rare item. He has a couple of others. One is 1930s vintage "Mauser" stamped stock for $650 by itself. He also has the most unusual one I have ever seen. Somewhere, sometime, someone took the time to modify the stock so the lid opened in the opposite direction! The hinge was swapped to the other side and the void expertly filled. The latch hardware was moved to its opposite location. It definitely doesn't look like an amateur modification.
