Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Haha, I know just the fellow; that holster right there is the prototype though, and compared to the ones he is making now it's pretty rough; now the grain is a lot smoother, the leather has a nice shine, he's doing the engraving and the inlay, etc....Now they aren't just functional, they are pretty as well....
That one there, it's the test model for all the others, and I am still wearing it.....

This isn't my favorite, that title goes to my 45acp, but I do enjoy these polymer frame Springfields! This is the subcompact XD9, with the additional extended mag installed. This gun has been flawless and shoots quite accurately too. Oh heck I'll throw in a pic of the Ruger Standard model and my CZ52, my favorite C&R pistol.

Re: Let's see your favorite
There is no question that this is my favorite. If trouble comes, I want this one in my hand. It fits like a glove, shoots perfectly, and with reloading the cost of shooting is not too bad. Series 80 Colt Govt Model 45acp. There is not a milsurp out there, no matter what it is, that I would trade this for. No one would ever offer to buy it for what I would have to have, I guess me and this pistol are stuck together! And no it don't have a name!

WOW... i need to get me a Walther. Old or new those are some nice side arms.
But after thinking some it forced me to get some pictures of my baby.
101 Hi-Standard 22 Sentinel.
This was my grand fathers prized gun that was given to my father at 17, the oldest of 7, a few months before his 7 year sister and previously mentioned dad passed in an odd deal in 75.
Then it was handed to me at the age of 18 when i was thrown into the world in the year of our lord 1999 and now will be passed on to my son of 7 once he enters the world on his own.
This i would run into the fire for. After the wife and kids of course.
