1929 Izhevsk Hex Receiver

Post by Sharkman »

Hey guys,
I decided to jump on Gander Mountains Mosin deal. This was the second and final rifle I looked at(out of four). It is in really nice condition with matching serial numbers(so far). I haven't shot it yet. I will post up pics as soon as I figure out how to do that so you guys can see it, help me out with it, etc. Glad to be here.

resize the pic to at least 640x480 before you load it.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Ya he is right, I forgot about the size limit. Sorry im new to the forum as well... also if you want to upload a profile pic it will have to be lower than 200x200.

First of all it depends on what kind of computer you have. If you are using a laptop or desktop, the above advice is good. If you are using a tablet or a smart phone and are using Tapatalk then that won't be an option and uploading your pictures to a picture service like photobucket works, where you obtain the IMG link from the picture on photobucket and paste it right on the post, like this:

Not exactly sure. I'm extremely new to the Mosin Nagant life. What I know about it is what the title says. I know that it's a 91/30 but that's about it.

I'm in the same boat, I know about the gun and it's function but not the history as much. But thanks to some guys on here I found out my rifle use to be a dragoon and was updated into a 91\30. There is alot of cool stuff about these rifles. They are very workman like, tough and reliable, and quite accurate! Plus they are respected for their history. I just watched a torture test they did on youtube on a 91\30. You should look it up if you can stomach watching them tear up such a beautiful rifle.
