Good Cheep Ammo on Clips?

Post by JTheBigJay »

Anyone have any suggestions as to where some decent ammo in bulk for a good price AND already on stripper clips might be found? Is it even packaged like that in a spam can?

ALso i'm still a newb and not sure if i need metal core, what grain, and probably a whole list of things to consider, but i'm not yet into this gun enough yet to know what to ask. So i turn to the pros to mooch off their experience. lol.

Thanks guys.

Your best buy at the moment seems to be to order a spam can, 440 rounds, from SGAmmo and have it shipped to you will still beat buying Brown Bear locally, at least it does for me.

I never bought any of it on clips, not 7.62x54r anyway. Bought US M2 ball and 8mm Mauser on the clip, and some .303 British.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Bulgarian will have a 10 on the headstamp. I would just as soon have it as the Russian.

I cracked the can tonight and have sliver tipped, red ring, 75 / 01 or 10 stamped on the end.

Its Bulgarian and not Russian?

Here is a pic of the bullet and the can.
