M27 in a M28 stock
M27 in a M28 stock
I've found out this is common among the Finnish variants. Also learned the rear metal stock guard stampings indicate barrel condition at the time they were inspected. This is my 1st M27, has the winged bolt, early stock nose connector, and as stated earlier its in a M28 stock. Bore is nice, finish is white, but a nice example of Finnish craftsmanship. I can't wait to shoot some ammo from it.

Another really cool Finn rifle. It shows they would do whatever with whatever to keep rifles in working condition.
I have a M27 that was fitted into a M28/30 stock during a Finnish refurb.
Do you have a picture of the barrel shank markings?

Nice. My 1935 28/30 is that same color. What are you calling the rear stock guard? I would be very careful in shooting the M27 if it is not D stamped or you have slugged the barrel.

Wow that is indeed a gem! I hope it shoots as good as all my M27's seem to shoot. My eyes love the M27 for some reason? Congrats and enjoy that fine rifle! Bill

Oh heck, this looks just like the rifle I was hoping to find! But alas, you got it instead. It looks very nice. Congrats.

Nice rifle. Neat to see a variation like that.
I have an m28 in an m39 stock.
