The gun show is...that way.

Post by Mosinn00b »

Hey everyone, happy Friday! A buddy of mine and I are going to the big Tanner gun show here in Denver this weekend and I wanted to know if there was any particular style of Mosins we should be on the look out for. I'd like to pick up a carbine at some point. Thanks for everyone's thoughts and opinions!

If you would like a carbine, look for the M38. They seem to be in that $200-250 range. Under $175 is usually a deal. An M39 is a great rifle, but you will have to shell out more. The M44's are nice, but I prefer the M38 to them........No bayonet. Good luck and post some pictures. :D :D

Good luck at the show. Any Finn Mosin would be worth looking for, as for carbines, if you find a nice refurb M38 or M44 for under $200 this would be the time to buy.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Happy Friday!
Good luck at the gun show, whatever you come home with. And a spam can or two might not be a bad purchase either if the price is right.
You see in this world there are two kinds of people my friend, those with loaded guns... and those who dig. You dig.

Look for one in original or refhtb condition that has not been sanded or modified

Good luck at the show! Keep an open mind, and don't overlook something that may not be what your goal is. You never know what kind of deal may pop up. I hope you get your carbine, an M1907 wouldn't be too shabby!

A Finn would be nice, or a M91. M44s are getting more and more expensive as the supply is running low, so if you can get one for $200 or less...

Of course if all they have are the more common ones, I would look for a hex receiver Tula M91/30 in good condition, maybe even a laminate stock.
Some people are like slinkies....

They are not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when pushed down a flight of stairs.
