Remington-Peters...

Post by kworm99 »

I recently received some Remington-Peters in 7.62x39 in a trade and was wondering if anyone had any info on it. Possibly the date of manufacture, value, etc... Thanks in advance.

No box with it? Without the Remington lot numbers it would be hard to date, I know I bought some like it in 1992, it could have been made much more recently.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

No, no box. Just 120 rounds of SP/FMJ on stripper clips. So this is still being manufactured? And if so, I'm guessing it's priced about the same as any other brass cased 7.62...

The Remington company is still producing both firearms and ammunition. Remington Peters is just one of their trade names, Remington UMC, Remington Arms, plain Remington and so on.

Good to know. Didn't know if it was an older name and they had just dropped the Peters... Either way I'll probably just hang on to it for a while. Thanks for the information though.
