Just a little about myself. I live in Kentucky and got the milsurp bug a few years ago. I have a 1946 Izhevsk M44 (man, it can make a fireball!), a 1942 Tula 91/30, a 1933 Izhevsk hex receiver 91/30, a 1938 Tula 91/30, and a 1944 Finnish 91/30. I also collect other milsurps such as Mausers and Enfields. One thing is for sure, I still have a lot to learn about milsurps... : )

Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
Hey guys. Gonna have some questions of course. Thanks in advance for all the help
Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
Hey peoples. Just bought my first Nagant. Been trying to find out as much info on the rifle as I can. Been reading a few sites learning the stamps, dates, marks, ect. And have a few questions. Firstly, what are the odds of finding a 91/30 that hasn't been refurbished? Secondly I have been seeing all over the net that there should be letters in front of the serial number and mine has none. It is 1922 Iz hex with tang and barrel dates and matching numbers on all.

"Hi I'm here"
Just getting more info. My Dad brought one home from Pusan in 1953.
One of my brothers has it, I think.
Would like to get one and customize it.

Hello to Everybody
Hello to everybody.
I'm an Italian gun enthusiast, lucky enought to work close to this business.
My deep interests regarding old military weaponry pushed me towards MN .
I am here also because I'm absolutely not satisfied by my knowledge of the matter (who is?) and I'd like to learn more.
I want to discuss about rifles collecting, manteinance and respectful restoring.
:-)
Nick
PS. I just bought a 91/30 sniper, fake or real I don't know... yet.

I think I messed up trying to make a first post so this might be my second post. I got the Mosin bug about five months ago and bought a 1942 Izhevsk that I have fun shooting as it is my first rifle and more accurate than I expected. I have added a PU sniper to my collection recently and can't wait to shoot it. Right now I am learning as much about it as I can before trying to sight it in. Hope to be able to report on my progress and post pictures as I learn how this site works.

Welcome to the board, Not a refurb? Spanish Civil War rifles are sometimes in original condition , Finn captures sometimes are close to it, maybe one of the Romanian imports from the 90's.Thanewguy wrote:Hey peoples.
