I would have barfed on the pilot for doing that to me without asking if it was OK. Sorry but those little planes scare me, went up once in a small plane with my BIL who is now a commercial Capt but he didn't do anything that would have made me keel haul his a$$. No sense of humor....yep that's me !! :x Flying sucks but the only way to go a long distance. When you're tall as me any plane seat is sardine city so I'll travel in my gas hog Suburban, best all around vehicle out there. 8-)

Correct!
And another thing for me is I want a plane with LOTS of engines so if one pukes there's still a chance of not becoming a yard dart.

I guess I missed part of the story about carrying the loaded gun and the cop laughing about it during the show ? :? Oh well day late dollar short is me. 8-)

Oh JoeR, I would never be mean to you, besides if your tall just put your hands up and brace yourself. I am a good pilot, I think. :brolleyes: I want to get that gurn in the plane he will tell his wife he was on flight 370 :brolleyes: . You like sliders, I thought all the men here were full of :spam2: :lol: If fuel cost come back to the real world I plan on flying the east coast this summer....guys better watch out. Tim, your wife emailed me the pictures she took....gosh, you do look airsick. Can I post,...just one. You can post the vid when I cussed that Slam fire, providing JYD and Dolk might want to edit those few words of surprise :redfaced: .

Besides, if I ever can get JYD with me I have him video the ride. I would try for Dolk but he would use that were out of gas, lets park trick on me. The Dep. Sheriff at the show is use to me. I think he wanted to have some fun with the new guy. But the vendors treat me with some respect now, especially since I know my Mosin's. Two of them really go out of the way for me on ammo and looking for what I want.

I once got a ride in a Hemi powered Road runner, with an insane driver and empty parking lot. That was.......well, I don't remember all of it, I was much younger then, air rides like that would undoubtedly result in me having a massive coronary. I don't even care for roller coasters and they are mostly on the ground.

JYD, Not if, but when I get you up in the air, I will show you some real diving and banking, maybe even a stall, along with a "Oh No" ....If I can land in a blizzard, A sunny day is no sweat. But bring you recorder. You can take apart a Mosin and put it together as I am flying and doing rolls and loops. Maybe we can drop in on another RMNF member. Sound like a relaxing day and a break from the job. Take a lap top and we can post as we fly. .... :brolleyes: ...Judi and her Mosin's ;mywink;

I have been 220 mph in 6.20 seconds in a fiberglass funny car at the old Sears Point dragstrip and years ago I even took some lessons in a Cessna. I used to fly to Phoenix from San Jose, Ca. two or three times a week, then...1) Almost hit by a small plane upon landing at San Jose, 2) Starboard side engine went up in flames while waiting to take off from San Diego, 3) On a trip to San Diego in cloudy weather the pilot misread something and instead of coming out of the clouds at the airport we were heading directly in to the Pacific. The pilot was cool though, he came on the talky thing and said,"ladies and gentlemen if you look out the left side windows you can see almost all of Tijuana, Mexico", 4) Upon reaching 20,000 feet coming out of Phoenix when the pilot pressurized the cabin the rear door came open. That in itself would make anybody think twice except we landed back at Phoenix and they wouldn't let anybody off the plane until they fixed the door and we landed back in San Jose. This all happened in a 3 month time frame. Somebody was telling me not to fly and I listened.

My friend Chris survived the "Miracle on the Hudson" a few years back, ask him sometime what goes through a mans mind during a stretch of minutes when he is absolutely certain he is about to die. I find the air crash investigation TV shows absolutely fascinating, I know way too much about how and why planes crash to ever get on one. I am not much for boats either, Titanic, Lusitania, Andria Dora, Empress of Ireland, Costa Concordia, you are not getting me on one of those disasters waiting to be a TV miniseries. When I think of small planes I think of Buddy, JP, and Ritchie in that cold field back in '59, it seems that pilot couldn't land in a blizzard, at least not land on the wheels. Barrel rolls, a Mosin? That would not be a good idea, the Mosin gets loose while I am busy screaming, and dealing with shooting pains in my left arm, hits pilot in head, then on top of everything else I have to learn how to fly in 15 seconds. Not true, it's not the flying part that's hard, anyone with some knowledge of mechanical devices could figure out how to keep an aircraft flying straight and level, the hard part is navigation and landing. Landing intact that is.

Amen Sir, knew I liked you for some reason, now I know. Reason.

Glad you had a good time Judy. I stopped riding in planes a few years ago.
