Two more 1895 Nagants

Post by catcracker »

The first picture is the one I purchased today. Did I need it? No. Was it unusual? No. Do I have a problem buying too many surplus guns? Yes. Tula 1935. All matching Tula parts and matching numbers. RGuns importer. This one came with 50 rounds of commercial ammo, holster, and lanyard. How could I pass up $140 out the door?

Second Nagant I won on Gunbroker, on a BIN. First ever purchase on Gunbroker. Total after shipping, etc, was $134.

I really liked this one because of the Peter The Great markings. The date was either not stamped hard, or has rubbed off. I don't think is was scrubbed, or they would have scrubbed the most offensive line on the top. There is no year on this one. But according to Nagantman on youtube, it can be dated to 1912-1919, or about that time. Numbers match. I.O Inc. importer. Holster and cleaning rod included.

Please look over the pics. If you see anything I missed, please let me know.

No such thing as too many guns :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Good snags Doug. I think you already know everything about them. Down here guys sell them for $200 and up and brag about it. Nice to see some good deals on them still.

Very nice pair you have there. Mine was also struck light and as your's mine also looks like it was in a angle when stamped. I love mine bought last year for $125 with all extras and a bit of ammo. Hard trigger pull but no problem. Amazed me seeing how the chamber meets the barrel when cocked, pretty advanced for the time back then.
