Came home and found the box waiting. I had a tree blow across the drive this am. I could get around it but didn't want to take a chance that the UPS guy wouldn't come. So I used the tow rope to move it on the way to work.
So far, (pics in a day or two). Exactly as described, shiny bore, good crown, good metal, nice walnut stock except for some nibbling around the buttstock. Soldiers tag was under the buttplate. The 7.5 swiss is in the mail somewhere so a cleaning and a range trip are in the planning.
Oh, its a 1942 vintage.
No one has ever mentioned (I think) the trigger on these things. I'm used to hard creepy triggers (except for the M-39) The trigger is really nice, crisp and reasonably light.

A 42? Nice. I can't remember now if mine is a 41 or 42. I'll have to check. Anyway, can't wait to see it!

I found a K-11 on SwissRiflesdotcom for a good price.I needs a little work but I'm happy with the deal I got. It should be here any day now.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

It came and I'm very pleased. I wish I had gotten Swiss rifle disease years ago when they were cheaper. The guy who talked me into my C&R has areal collection of them and picked up some for a fraction of what they are going for now.

Here is my "new" K-11 and goodies
*M1918 Bayonet with scabbard and correct buckle frog. The bayonet was made by Waffenfabrik and bears serial number 881297 which means it was issued with a rifle dated 1947. These could also use some restoration.
*Replacement bolt knob - new.
*Sling with buckle (1940 dated).
*Brass muzzle cap.
*Two (2) cardboard and metal magazine chargers.

As mentioned, I took the carbine apart and as far as I can tell it is all matching - either full s/n (stock, handguard, bolt, receiver, barrel), or last three digits (trigger/magazine guard, etc.).

Condition notes:
1. The barrel bands were painted white for some strange reason. There is also white paint also on the stock in the area covered by the barrel bands.
2. I do not know the condition of the bore.
3. The bolt knob is cracked and needs to be replaced.
4. The bolt itself shows discoloration.
5. There is surface rust on the underside of the magazine plate, butt plate.
6. The receiver is discolored on the right hand side.
7. Very little bluing remains.

I’ll ship via UPS to an 01 or 03 FFL only.

Icut and pasted the photo from the original "for sale" (Thanks again Logan!)

White paint must be from some sort of snow camo, good idea, but most people used white cloth or somehing, paint is harder to remove come summer. Sounds like a nice rifle :vcool: :vcool: :vcool:
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
